I was born in the vibrant city of Düsseldorf, Germany, in 1966. My early career began with a traditional apprenticeship in banking, but I soon realized that a static life within the confines of office walls was not for me. With a passion for sports, I pursued my dreams at the renowned Sport University in Cologne, starting in 1990. At a time when the sports industry was still budding in Germany and across Europe, I financed my education by orchestrating sporting events and coaching athletics. My dedication led me to the DOSB Trainerakademie, of then German Olympic Confederation, where I honed my skills as a certified trainer, specializing in pole-vault and decathlon with a diploma in high performance coaching.

My professional journey is marked by prestigious assignments with TSV Dormagen, UK Athletics in Manchester, ASPIRE Academy in Doha, and the Singapore Sports School. The Sydney Olympics in 2000 stand out as a pinnacle of my coaching career, where I proudly served as a coach for the South African Team. With a fervent interest in international and intercultural projects, I have engaged with diverse individuals, delving into the intricacies of societies and structures firsthand.

I assumed the role of sports director for the German Volleyball Federation, striving to create an environment where coaches and athletes could excel. Eventually, I transitioned into consulting and education, where I now thrive. My workshops and seminars offer a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insights into sports training and management, drawing from my extensive experience in the field.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a staunch advocate for physical fitness and a sustainable lifestyle. My personal pursuits in running, cycling, swimming, strength training, and HYROX reflect my lifelong commitment to athletic excellence. While competition remains a motivator, the joy of the sport and personal progress are my true rewards.

I cherish the tranquility of nature, often found rejuvenating alongside my wife by the lake, embracing the serenity of our surroundings.
